Unformed Informed (Publishing) is a publishing studio of "bibliographic documents"1 within the arts. The outcome is the result of a close collaboration with artists, designers and curators. The framework of each project is determined by the collaborations within which they arise. These frameworks not only determine the document itself, but also the conditions under which they are being published.

1 A term we lend from N. Barker and T. Adams: "The term we propose is an awkward one: bibliographical document. By this is meant something printed or written in multiple copies that its agent, be it author, stationer, printer or publisher, or any combination thereof, produces for public consumption. [...] The size of the audience addressed is not a factor; rather its is the fact that the agent's intention involves the process of duplication, so that more than one person can have acces to what is on the paper." Thomas Randolph Adams en Nicolas Barker, “A New Model for The Study of The Book,” in A Potencie of Life: Books in Society, red. Nicolas Barker, (Londen: The British Library, 1993) 13.

Unformed Informed (Publishing) is a non-profit, self funded organisation with the addition of project-based funding.

Our book projects are made possible by:
Stroom Den Haag / st. Stokroos / Gemeente Rotterdam / st. Jaap Harten Fonds / Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds - Zuid Holland / st. Droom en Daad
